Beverley Musical Theatre

It’s show week!

From 14th to 17th June our latest, fabulous new musical production “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” will be on at the Memorial Hall in Lairgate, Beverley.

Based on the  film starring Michael Caine and Steve Martin, who play a couple of swindlers in the South of France trying to get as much money they can from rich, vulnerable women, the musical follows their hilarious rivalry and how it  gets in the way of their success.
With a great musical score played by an 8 piece band and a very talented set of principals, supported by a cast of 25, this is a light, funny show where you can just sit back with a glass of wine  from the bar and be whisked to the French Riviera and see the story unfold.

Tickets on sale  – just £10 from

Beverley Musical Theatre (formerly Beverley Operatic Society) perform Musical Shows, Pantomimes and concerts in Beverley, Hull and the surrounding villages. The East Riding of Yorkshire is fortunate in having a large number of amateur operatic and dramatic societies. This means that competition for the attentions of the theatre-going public is intense, and consequently the standard of the performances is very good.

Beverley Musical Theatre is no exception. Based largely in Beverley itself, the society performs at the New Theatre in Hull and the Beverley Memorial Hall.  Most year’s we perform our main musical show in May/June and a pantomime in November/December.

The company also enjoys a lively social programme including our Annual Dinner, barbecues, theatre trips, and of course the usual parties (any excuse!). There’s always plenty to do even when we’re not rehearsing for shows.
